Mike has displayed a solid business foundation with clear goals and future objectives. He has been operating an independent franchise since 2002 and has seen a 35% increase in sales at this location in that time. He recently led a major facility remodel in an effort to add over $100,000 in merchandise.

He has demonstrated continued support of his community by supporting local athletic organizations and charities including the Manteno High School “It’s Our Time” program which included a school-wide team build program as well as a pay it forward campaign, the Manteno Bass Fishing Team, Manteno Robotics Team, Manteno Show Choir, MYBSL, MYSA, MHS Girls Soccer Fund; and sponsoring area events and fundraisers including the Manteno Fire History Day Fundraiser, Manteno Education Foundation Golf Outing, and Manteno Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing. He continues to give back to the community in which he has selected to grow his business and is an active participant in the Manteno High School ‘school to work’ program that helps students with disabilities train for future jobs and work life.

Congratulations to our 2014 Business Person of the Year award winner, Mr. Mike Cripe, Whitmore Ace Hardware. Mike shares his success with his family, his wife Cory, and their children Claire, 3, and Will, 6 months.
